Safety precaution apparatus (tools) are an important part of your job. Their purpose is to warn people of the presence of working personnel, tools and any hazardous conditions. Listed are commonly used safety tools on our ships: Yellow safety cones (to warn guests of wet floors), Yellow safety chains (to block off a work area), Ropes with signage (usually used to block off stairs)
Wearing proper gear:
For safety purposes you are only allowed to wear uniforms and shoes provided to
you. Dangling jewelry is unacceptable as it might get caught in machinery and
become a safety hazard. Other gear such as masks, aprons, gloves, and goggles are provided to you in your work location depending on the task you are performing.

Daily (frequent):
Dust panning and Brooming: Is an important task as it deals with picking up visible debris (dirt) from floors with a toy broom and a hand held dustpan.
Floor sweeping:
Is the act of moving larger to moderate pieces of dirt to a central location for pickup This procedure requires a large push broom and is usually used in a larger area.
